Winning awards is fun. For me this is especially true when it comes to writing. I take blogging very seriously and hope to actually figure out a way to write for a living one day.
Come to find out—giving awards is even more fun. It was a very enjoyable experience sorting through different blogs I read and offering the “Blog of the Year 2012” to them. How did I narrow down my list? First, I picked blogs that continue to be updated regularly; those that offer new, bold ideas about dating and sex (this is specific to MY criteria—not the award); and they need to be well written. There are many out there worth reading, but here are the two that made my cut:
This blog is a hodgepodge of tips and advice from knowledgeable, interesting, and adventurous young-ins who keep me on my toes with their insight and wit.
One of the reasons I continue to read this blog is because Simply Surreal is just that—this writer’s experiences are so incredibly beyond anything I ever imagined–I keep coming back for more titillating, creative, and outrageous ideas for interacting with men.
The rules are:
1 Select the blog(s) you think deserve the ‘Blog of the Year 2012′ Award
2 Write a blog post and tell us about the blog(s) you have chosen — there’s no minimum or maximum number of blogs required — and ‘present’ them with their award.
3 Please include a link back to http://thethoughtpalette.co.uk/our-awards/blog-of-the-year-2012-award/ and include these ‘rules’ in your post (please don’t alter the rules or the badges!)
4 Let the blog(s) you have chosen know that you have given them this award and share the ‘rules’ with them.
5 You can now also join the Facebook group — click ‘like’ on the page above ‘Blog of the Year 2012′ Award Facebook group and then you can share your blog with an even wider audience.
6 As a winner of the award — please add a link back to the blog that presented you with the award — and then proudly display the award on your blog and sidebar.
I’d like to give a huge thank you to “L”—a wonderfully talented writer from the UK–of From High Heels to Wellies for giving me this award:
